Global Chemical Regulation Highlights | September 2025

In September of 2025, China initiated a second reading on drafts of the Law on Hazardous Substances Safety and the Ecological and Environmental Code. South Korea clarified the only representative transfer issued under K-REACH. Japan expanded the scope of substances subject to mandatory GHS compliance. Singapore consulted on the control measures for 6 mercury-added products. Vietnam published draft implementation decree for Law on Chemicals. EU added Dechlorane Plus to Part A of Annex I of Regulation (EU) 2019/1021. US issued an interim final rule concerning the regulation of TCE under TSCA.
