Announced by MoE Announcement No. 2016-2 on 8 Jan 2016, five substances listed as KE No. 2014-1-724~2014-1-728 have been newly added to the South Korea’s Toxic Chemical Substance List (TCSL) associated with corresponding content threshold (%) for mixtures.
The details of the five toxic substances are specified as below.

Along with the five toxic substances, transitional measures are provided. Importers should within one month conduct notification of import for these substances according to the Article 20 of Chemical Control Act (CCA).
In addition, manufacturing, trading, storing, transporting or using these five newly added toxic chemicals is subject to business licensing in accordance with the Article 28 of CCA. Stakeholders should comply with the requirements in terms of facilities, equipment and technical personnel qualifications, etc. within two years after the implementation of this notice, by 8th of Jan 2018 to obtain their license.
