The Act on Safety Management of Household Chemical Products and Biocidal Products (K-BPR) was passed by the plenary session of the National Assembly on 28th of Feb and finally promulgated by the president on 20 March as Law No. 15511. The new law will enter into force on 1 Jan 2019.
On May 30th, 2018, South Korea Ministry of Environment (MOE) issued a legislation forecast of some implementation decrees for the Act, including:
The constitution and operation of the committee;
The management measures and procedures of household chemical products
The application approval and evaluation procedure of the biocidal substances
The application extension of existing biocidal products
The application approval and evaluation procedure of the biocidal products
The management of registered household chemical products and biocidal products
The determination and levy of the fines
The designation standard and procedure of the test facilities.
