U.S. Senator Reintroduces Comprehensive Bill to Phase out All Non-Essential PFAS Within 10 Years

The Forever Chemical Regulation and Accountability Act (H.R. 8016, S. 4153) proposes a comprehensive U.S. framework to phase out non-essential PFAS uses, restrict environmental releases, and strengthen accountability and remediation for PFAS-related harms.

On March 19, 2026, Representative Betty McCollum (D-MN) and Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) reintroduced the Forever Chemical Regulation and Accountability Act (H.R. 8016, S. 4153) during 119th COngress.
