Vietnam: 9 Substances Removed From Draft National Inventory

On March 16th 2017 CECHEDAR updated Vietnam’s draft edition of the national chemicals inventory.

As ChemLinked reported, Vietnam’s Center of Data and Chemical Incident Support (CECHEDAR) under the Ministry of Industrial and Trade (MOIT) issued the latest draft of the national chemicals inventory a few days ago. The latest draft was greatly expanded compared with the previous one and more than 1900 substances were added into it.

However, yesterday CECHEDAR updated the draft quietly without any announcement. 9 substances were removed from the inventory and the total number of substances in the inventory was reduced from 4936 to 4927. These substances were deleted because the authorities could not specify a certain chemical substance based on the submitted CAS number or the chemical name. Enterprises should check the newly updated draft here: https://resource.chemlinked.com.cn/old/cdn/img/newcl/file/rev_annex2-2_nci_1st.xlsx and check whether their substances were removed. If so, then enterprises should submit to the authorities again with more clear and accurate information.
