With the Measures for the Environmental Management Registration of New Chemical Substances (a.k.a. MEE Order No. 12, hereinafter referred to as the Measures) in effect, the Solid Waste and Chemical Management Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (SCC-MEE) has released a series of FAQs to help enterprises fulfill their obligations under the Measures. The third batch of 19 FAQs was published on August 5, 2021.

China Legislates on Dust Explosion Protection for Industry and Trade Enterprises
On August 2nd, 2021, the China Ministry of Emergency Management (MEM) issued its Order No.6 to publish the Safety Regulations on Dust Explosion Protection for Industry and Trade Enterprises. The Regulations are formulated in accordance with the newly issued Work Safety Law and will enter into effect on September 1st, 2021, simultaneously with the Law.

17,151 Substances Pre-registered under Korea REACH
A total of 193,224 pre-registration applications have been submitted for 17,151 existing chemical substances, of which 78 are CMR substances. About 11% of the pre-registered substances are manufactured or imported over 1,000 tonnes per year.
