On Jul 20th 2015, the draft of the non-mandatory national standard “Water Based Woodwork Coating for Children’s Room” was released and opened for public comment until Aug 25th.
The draft is China’s first national standard applicable to children’s room coatings and will undoubtedly impact the coating market. It contains the application scope of the standard, the technical requirements, testing methods, data validation and so on. The priority monitoring hazardous substances in the technical requirements are shown below:
