India Delays Quality Control Order for Morpholine

Once implemented, the QCO shall mandate the Morpholine manufacturer to apply for Grant of License by Bureau of Indian Standard to use the Standard Mark.

On October 30, 2024, India's Department of Chemical and Petrochemicals (DCPC) released a notification on the Gazette of India to delay the implementation of Quality Control Order (QCO) for Morpholine

The QCO for Morpholine was orginally scheduled to take effect on November 1, 2024. The latest implementation date is extended to May 1, 2025

As per the Morpholine (Quality Control) Order, 2020, all morpholine goods or artciles shall conform to the IS 12084 : 2018 Morpholine — Specification (First Revision) and shall bear the Standard Mark under a licence from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) as per Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
