Korea to Designate 75 Chemicals as Hazardous Substances

South Korea’s NICS is consulting on proposed addition of 75 chemicals as hazardous substances and proposed updates to certain existing entries, which will trigger K-CCA compliance obligations for these chemicals once finalized.

On December 2, 2025, South Korea's National Institute of Chemical Safety (NICS) opened a public consultation on the partial revision of the List of Substances Acutely Hazardous to Human Health, Substances Chronically Hazardous to Human Health, and Substances Hazardous to the Environment (hereinafter referred to as the List). Stakeholders and interested parties are invited to submit their comments before December 22, 2025.
