MEE Consults on Technical Specification for Application and Issuance of Pollutant Permit

MEE is currently seeking public feedback on its drafted Technical Specification for Application and Issuance of Pollutant Permit in a number of industries. 

The standards include the following industries:

  1. Water Treatment (Consultation will close on July 27th)

  2. Wine and Beverage Manufacturing Industry (Consultation will close on July 20th)

  3. Phosphatic, Potassic, Compound, Organic And Microbial Fertilizer Industry (Consultation will close on July 15th)

  4. Furniture Manufacturing Industry (Consultation will close on July 15th)

  5. Automotive Industry(Consultation will close on July 15th)

  6. Battery Industry (Consultation will close on July 10th)

  7. Livestock and Poultry Farming Industry (Consultation closed on July 10th)

  8. Ceramics, Fired Brick and Tile Industry (Consultation closed on July 4th )

The standards regulate: the mandatory information required to apply for a pollutant permit, permitted pollutant emission limits, self-monitoring management, and requirements on emission account and annual executive report, etc. Each standard also includes technologies for pollution prevention in each industry.
