On Nov 27th, Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) issued 7 HJ standards. “HJ” means environmental protection standard. These standards mainly focus on test methods for solid wastes, water and soil quality. They will go effective from Jan 1st, 2015.
The 7 standards are:
Solid waste - Determination of phenolic compounds - Gas chromatography (HJ 711-2014)
Solid waste - Determination of total phosphorus-Ammonium metamolybdate spectrophotometric method (HJ 712-2014)
Solid wastes - Determination of volatile halohydrocarbons - Purge and trap gas chromatography mass spectrometry (HJ 713-2014)
Solid wastes - Determination of volatile halohydrocarbons - Headspace gas chromatography mass method (HJ 714-2014)
Water quality - Determination of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) - Gas chromatography mass spectrometry (HJ 715-2014)
Water quality - Determination of nitroaromatics - Gas chromatography mass spectrometry (HJ 716-2014)
Soil quality - Determination of total nitrogen - Modified Kjeldahl method (HJ 717-2014)
