Panama to Adopt UN GHS Rev.7 for Chemical Hazard Communication

On June 10, 2026, Panama's Ministry of Commerce and Industries (MICI) and the Directorate General of Standards and Industrial Technology (DGNTI) notified the WTO of a draft Technical Regulation (DGNTI XX-2026), proposing to implement UN GHS Rev. 7 to standardize chemical hazard classification, labeling, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) within the national territory. Stakeholders may submit comments to the WTO notification until August 9, 2026.
