South Korea issued the Guidance on Reporting by Overseas Manufacturer or Producer (in Korean) on 26 Feb 2016 to facilitate document preparation for annual reporting under K-REACH. In addition, the English summary of the Guidance was issued for reference. Stakeholders should keep in mind that the deadline for the first annual reporting is 30 Jun 2016.
Scope of reporting: Non-phase-in substances (new chemical substances) or 1 ton or more of phase-in substances (PECs) manufactured/imported/sold in the previous year (Jan 1-Dec 31)
Submission deadline: 30 June of every year
Reporting method: Log on to IT system (http://kreach.me.go.kr) and submit required information
Information subject to report: Chemical substance name (generic name), identity number (CAS No., etc.), amount of manufacture/import/sale, usage-based classification (55 categories to choose from), description on specific use, etc.
Processing authority: River Basin Environmental Office or Local Environmental Office
