Vietnam Annual Chemical Report Due on February 15

Before February 15, 2025, businesses operating in the chemical industry are responsible for reporting the summary of chemical activities in 2024 to the National Chemical Database

On February 5, 2025, Vietnam's Department of Chemicals released the Notice of chemical activity report in 2024 on its website.

Pursuant to Article 9 of Circular No.32/2017/TT-BCT Specifying and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Chemicals and Decree No.113/2017/ND-CP, as amended by Circular No.17/2022/ND-CP, before February 15 of each year, businesses operating in the chemical industry are responsible for reporting chemical activities of the previous calendar year on the National Chemical Database

The reported chemicals cover conditional chemicals, industrial precursors, restricted chemicals, scheduled chemicals (CWC) and other hazardous chemicals (as defined by Point 4, Article 4 of Law on Chemicals). Each report made by an entity shall specify:

  • General information about the entity;

  • Information for import/export, domestic production or trade, and use of each chemical;

  • Production facility capacity;

  • Provision of training courses in chemical safety;

  • Plans and measures for prevention of and response to chemical emergencies and chemical safety.

The annual report template is attached as Form No.05a in Appendix 5 of Circular No.32/2017/TT-BCT

Accordingly, the Department of Chemicals recommends that enterprises report chemical activities through the National Database and not send paper copies to the Department of Chemicals.
