Malaysia Requires Annual Certification for Chemical Exported to Non-Party State under Stockholm Convention
The Malaysian Department of Environment (DOE), acting under the provisions of the Stockholm Convention, has issued a notice requiring an "Annual Certification" for the export of chemicals to countries not party to the Convention. This measure ensures compliance with global environmental and health safeguards, particularly in managing Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs), as outlined in Article 3 of the Convention.

On April 10, 2025, Indonesia notifies to WTO a Draft Decree of Minister of Industry on Mandatory Implementation of Indonesian National Standard for Paper and Paperboard for Food Packaging.The Regulation stipulates that all business actors who produce, import, and/or distribute paper and paperboard for food packaging are subject to the mandatory implementation of SNI 8218:2024 for paper and paperboard as raw materials for the manufacture of primary packaging for food

Minnesota Clarifies Reporting Requirements for PFAS in Products
Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) released the legal notice to adopt new rules for reporting and fee program regarding PFAS in products. The new rules seek to clarify the existing PFAS Bill (Minn. Stat. § 116.943) which requires a manufacturer or a group of manufacturers to report to MPCA information about intentionally added PFAS in products.
