Vietnam Consults on Permissible Exposure Limits for 80 Chemicals at Workplace
On August 21, 2023, Vietnam's Ministry of Health released a draft Circular XX/2024/TT-BYT, which promulgates the National Technical Regulation on Permissible Exposure Limit Value of 80 Chemicals at the Workplace (hereinafter referred to as the Regulation). The Circular is proposed to take effect from May 2024 and is now open for public consultation.

EU Bans PFHxS under POPs Regulation
EU officially lists perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS), its salts and PFHxS-related compounds in Annex I to Regulation (EU) 2019/1021(POPs Regulation). The announcement came in the publication of Regulation (EU) 2023/1068 in the Official Journal of European Union on August 8, 2023. It shall enter into force 20 days after the publication.

India Updates Exemption List of EEE under RoHS Rules
On July 25, 2023, India's Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) released an updated exemption list of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) under RoHS Rules. The change is highlighted in the E-Waste (Management) Second Amendment Rules, 2023, which came into force on the same date of their publication.

China Notifies WTO of Draft Revision to List of Dangerous Goods (Updated on June 26, 2023)
GB 6944 and GB 12268 were issued for public consultation. They help standardize the system for dangerous goods transportation, storage, distribution, and other related activities in China. Once adopted, the revised standards are expected to take effect 12 months after publication and replace their 2012 versions.
