Bangladesh Releases Draft Rules for Food Contact Materials
On August 13, 2025, Bangladesh Food Safety Authority notifies WTO the Draft Food Safety (Food Contact Materials) Regulations, 2024, which contains guidelines to ensure food safety concerning materials that come into contact with food. The regulation is proposed to be adopted on November 1, 2025, and enter into force June 10, 2026.

The U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced on August 4, 2025, a significant update to its list of taxable substances under the Superfund chemical excise tax.
