China Releases New Standard for SVHCs and Restricted Chemicals in Automotive Industry

On October 31, China released a group standard T/ZTCA 011.1—2022 Automotive industry control of key chemical substances — Part 1:Application guidelines. It is set to provide general technical standard for the testing of REACH controlled chemicals in automotive industry. It specifies the application scope of controlled chemicals in metallic and non-metallic materials of auto parts, including 222 substances of very high concern (SVHC) and 77 entries of restricted chemicals.

China Steps Up Efforts in Source Control over Toxic and Hazardous Chemicals

The Chinese General Office of the State Council officially released the approved Action Plan for New Pollutants Treatment, according to Notice No.15 of 2022 issued on May 24, 2022, which vows to improve the China’s new pollutants treatment capacity significantly by 2025.
