17,151 Substances Pre-registered under Korea REACH
Jul 30, 2021
A total of 193,224 pre-registration applications have been submitted for 17,151 existing chemical substances, of which 78 are CMR substances. About 11% of the pre-registered substances are manufactured or imported over 1,000 tonnes per year.

South Korea Publishes 80 New Chemical Substances Registered under OSHA

On April 2, 2021, South Korea’s Ministry of Employment and Labor (MoEL) published a list of 80 new chemical substances registered and assessed under OSHA from November 2020 to February 2021, of which 27 are identified as hazardous to workers’ health.

K-REACH Registration of 332 Substances Needs Speeding Up
Jul 17, 2020
On July 1, 2020, K-REACH Helpdesk issued a list of 332 existing chemical substances (including 17 CMRs). These substances should be subject to joint registration by the first registration deadline of December 31, 2021 according to their pre-registration volumes. However, the formulation and management of corresponding consortium has not been smooth. Some substances are not yet have lead registrants.
