The Australian Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) is currently soliciting feedback on the proposed scheduling decisions and risk control measures for 10 groups of industrial chemicals. The public consultation will close by December 8, 2025.
Proposed IChEMS scheduling decisions
Three groups of industrial chemicals are proposed to be included in the IChEMS Register Schedule 5 – Relevant industrial chemicals that are likely to cause harm to the environment. The proposed risk control measures (prohibitions or restrictions) for each group of industrial chemicals are specified separately in their consultation documents. The risk management measures apply to the relevant industrial chemicals and mixtures containing such chemicals.
