China Shandong Regulates MCCPs, UV-328, and Chlorpyrifos as New Pollutants

The Department of Ecology and Environment of Shandong, China, in conjunction with six other provincial departments, has officially released Shandong's Supplementary List of New Pollutants for Priority Management (2025). Published on December 26, 2025, this local list identifies 17 categories of new pollutants subject to strict environmental risk management. The Shandong List is scheduled to come into force on February 1, 2026, and will remain valid until January 31, 2031.
