India Suspends N-Butyl Acrylate Quality Control Order

India has further delayed the effective date of the n-Butyl Acrylate Quality Control Order, 2021 to July 31, 2026 amid global exigencies and supply chain disruptions.

On July 9, 2026, the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers (Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, DCPC) published an amendment to the n-Butyl Acrylate (Quality Control) Order, 2021.

Back in April 2026, DCPC has announced to temporarily waive the requirement for n-Butyl Acrylate to comply with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) specifications. The QCOs implementation are therefore suspended from April 10,2026 to July 10, 2026.

The published order further delays the effective date of the Quality Control Order for n-Butyl Acrylate from July 10, 2026, to July 31, 2026. This suspension of the order's operation was implemented due to global exigencies and supply chain disruptions, ensuring the continued availability of n-Butyl Acrylate in the market.
