Taiwan’s new chemical registration system will begin on 11 Dec 2014. The administrative costs of chemical registration in Taiwan have been drafted according to the amendments of “Toxic Chemical Substances Handling Application Fee Standards”, now renamed as “Standard on Toxic Chemical Substances Handling Application Fee and Chemical Registration Fee”. The draft was issued for public consultation on 25 Aug 2014.
The administrative fee is specified in the table 1. It should be noted that Taiwan’s EPA has proposed financial incentives for SMEs which would see a 25% reduction in the dossier review fee.
When applying for extension and modification of the same chemical registration certificate only a one off payment of the higher fee is required. In addition, data protection application or extension will cost NT$50,000.
