Thailand’s Department of Industrial Works (DIW) recently published a time-sensitive notice to urge companies, who have previously submitted applications for CBI (confidential business information) protection under the Hazardous Substance Act in the year 2019, to apply for an extension by 29 March 2024 if they still have CBI concerns. If an extension application is not submitted before the specified deadline, the DIW will consider this as a lack of intention from the concerned companies to extend the CBI protection period. In such case, the DIW will proceed to revoke their previous CBI approvals from the official system.
According to the notice, for the extension application, the concerned companies should fill in the following information via the online system (http://webintra.diw.go.th/regishaz/registernew.asp):
Company name
Submission number (previous CBI protection application)
Submission date (CBI protection application in 2019)
Contact
Address
Telephone
Date, month, year that the manufacturer sent the e-mail
E-mail address of the manufacturer
