In the October of 2019, the Malaysia Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) promulgated the Industry Code of Practice on Chemicals Classification and Hazard Communication (Amendment) 2019 Part 1 (ICOP 2019 Part 1) as a guidance to chemical suppliers to comply with the provisions in Part II of the Occupational Safety and Health (Classification, Labelling and Safety Data Sheet of Hazardous Chemicals) Regulations 2013 (aka. the CLASS Regulations, hereinafter is referred to as "the Regulations").

MEM Notice on Enabling the New Version of Safety Production Permit

On February 12, China Ministry of Emergency Management (MEM) issued a notice announcing the implementation of a new version of the safety production permit. The new permit is redesigned from the Safety Production Permit enabled by State Administration of Work Safety (SAWS) issued in 2004. It is applicable to non-coal mining enterprises, and hazardous chemicals and fireworks manufacturers.
