31 Aug 2022: Deadline for 2021 Annual Report on Safety Storage of Hazardous Substances under the Authorization of Thailand DIW

On April 11, 2022, Thailand Department of Industrial Works (DIW) published in the Government Gazette the revised regulation Notification of the Department of Industrial Works Re: Criteria and Procedures for Registration of Specialized Person Responsible for Safety Storage of Hazardous Substances and Reporting of Safety Storage of Hazardous Substances under Authorization of DIW¹ (Notification B.E. 2565 (2022), hereinafter referred to as Notification). The Notification took effect on May 1, 2022, and the previous version Notification B.E. 2551 (2008)² was repealed at the same time. Compared with the previous version, the Notification optimizes the criteria and procedures for enterprises involving in handling hazardous substances to appoint a specialized person responsible for safety of hazardous substance storage, as well as definitions of the corresponding terms.
