On February 13, 2022, the South Korean Ministry of Environment (MoE) announced that products, which have been designated as “household chemical products subject to safety confirmation” or have obtained biocidal product approval under K-BPR, can be exempted from K-CCA since February 14, 2022 to avoid duplicative management.

Thailand Proposes to Revise the Regulation for Food Contact Plastics

On Jan. 27, 2022, World Trade Organization (WTO) announced a notification regarding the proposed revision to Thailand’s plastic food packaging regulations, which was proclaimed by Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Updated Existing Chemical Hazard Assessment Results Under K-REACH

On February 11, 2022, the National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER) issued NIER Announcement No.2022-10, making public the hazard evaluation results of 30 existing chemical substances (Given number as 2022-170~2022-199) that were registered and reviewed under K-REACH from January to March 2021. 28 of these substances are toxic.
