India Introduces EPR Regulations for Used Oils
On September 18, 2023, India's Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) issued the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations for used oil in the Gazette of India. The regulations are also called the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Second Amendment Rules, 2023. It shall come into force from April 1, 2024.
India Proposes Quality Control Orders for 8 Chemicals
On September 13, India submitted several notifications to the World Trade Organization (WTO) regarding the proposed Quality Control Orders (QCOs) for eight substances. Comments are due to the WTO TBT Committee within 60 days from notification.

Japan will prohibit the manufacture, import and use of PFHxS, its isomers, and their salts, and prohibit the import of certain products in which PFHxS, its isomers, or their salts are used.
