To advance the implementation of the “One Enterprise, One Chemical Product, One QR Code" Policy in Shanghai, the Shanghai Emergency Management Bureau (SEMB) and the Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission (SMTC) released a joint notice to implement the use of Hazchem traceability codes. By December 31, 2024, Hazchem enterprises within Shanghai should generate and affix Hazchem traceability codes and establish dynamic management system for the in and out information of Hazchem in warehouses and connect with the Hazchem whole supply chain supervision information system. On February 19, 2024, India's Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (DCPC) officially announced that the submission of chemical and petrochemical data is mandatory on ChemIndia Webportal. The collected data shall be used to generate Index of Industrial Production every month and ultimately create a comprehensive and authentic inventory of the chemical and petrochemicals data. European Union and United Kingdom On February 7, 2024, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) released a draft 12th recommendation to the European Commission, which recommends the inclusion of 5 substances to the REACH Authorisation List. ECHA is looking for further information on the uses of these substances in the scope of authorization, their possible exemptions from the authorisation requirement, and the structure and complexity of the supply chains.
