China On February 4, 2025, the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) and the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) jointly issued an announcement to impose export controls on dual-use items related to tungsten, tellurium, bismuth, molybdenum and indium. Asia-pacific region On February 12, 2025, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and the Ministry of the Environment jointly consulted on the designation of three new priority assessment chemical substances (PACs) and the removal of seven existing PACs under the Chemical Substances Control Law (CSCL). Europe
Starting January 1, 2025, all Poison Center Notifications (PCN) for hazardous mixtures placed on the EU market must adhere to a harmonised format as outlined in Annex VIII of the Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulation. Companies must review their current processes and ensure that all hazardous mixtures are properly notified in a harmonized format based on Annex VIII of the CLP Regulation. (Read more)
